Section COC's 2009

Gentlemen,

I personally wanted to send an email to the entire Section C2-A Council Of Chiefs welcoming them back to the 2009-2010 year. I hope that everyone's summer was filled with excitement, Scouting, and of course, some much needed relaxation. I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for Section C2-A, and look forward to make substantial progress within the Section.

As you should know, the Sections in the Region were realigned. Section C2-A is now, (and again), the home of Tindeuchen Lodge 552. I want to personally welcome them to Section C2-A, and look forward to meeting our new brothers from Toledo. Tindeuchen has already received a very important responsibility in hosting Section Conclave for the 2010 year.

With that, I'm excited to announce the dates, times and locations of this years Section events. I offer you an invitation to each of these events as a COC member. There will be three Council Of Chief meetings this year. It is expected and imperative, as a member of the COC, that you attend these meetings as they are crucial to the success of this year's conclave, along with Section C2-A as a whole. Feel free to bring new and upcoming Lodge Leadership so they can receive exposure to the Section level. The dates are as followed:

Section Conclave's date and location has been secured, and it is now time for each of the Lodges to work together to make this year's Section Conclave a success. Below you will see the Section Conclave assignments, as followed by the plan-book. You should notice that Chickagami does not have a responsibility as of yet. With the Region Realignment, there is another lodge within our Section. This additional lodge now requires an additional responsibility at conclave. Continue to brainstorm ideas for a 6th responsibility and bring it to the first COC for approval.

Each Lodge should begin to prepare a ideas and a budget for their respective assignment. It is crucial for the October COC that we have a respectable idea of what each Lodge plans to do, and how much it's going to cost. Without this information, the final details of conclave will be incomplete for too long and even may jeopardize this year's attendance. I cannot stress enough the importance of having this information prepared as it is the driving factor to a successfully planned conclave. Additionally, I encourage each of you, and you Lodge, to begin drafting Conclave theme ideas. It would be ideal to approve a Conclave them by the first COC. Patch designs will follow.

If you have any questions or need any resources do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to meeting with each of you in the near future. I'm humbled by this this opportunity to work beside each of you, and I'm excited for our potential as a whole.
